Bespoke construction training

Love 2 learn has a firm commitment to the up-skilling of the local workforce and to that end works with local employers to develop bespoke training courses which suit the immediate needs of their employees.

Thus we support the opportunities presented by initiatives to regenerate the construction industry both locally and nationally. This serves compaines who wish to invest in training and up-skilling their workforce.

CSCS (Construction skills certification scheme) training and testing

Basic health and safety training for construction personnel is a legal requirement. Love 2 learn has qualified professional staff, who can provide the necessary training and testing leading to the achievement of the construction skills certification scheme card at both operative and manager levels.

Vocational education and training

Love 2 learn is a small and unique education and training company which aims to provide a flexible approach to vocational construction education and training. We work with young people from the age of 14 and are actively involved in the development and delivery of the new vocational diplomas. we are funded by various bodies including local schools, FE colleges, County Councils and other agencies as government money becomes available. We are unique in that we understand how people learn and our approach centres on the individual learning styles of candidates. We strive to get the best fit between the needs and expectations of the candidate and our provision. This is a fully inclusive approach and in line with lifelong learning.

We know at love 2 learn that the success of the learner depends largely upon the relationship he or she has with the teacher. If one interrogatesmuch of the success children hacve at school, and asks whether it was because of the subject interest or the teacher? Most will say it is the teacher. Children can do well at subjects they do not necessarily like, as long as the teacher is inspiring, caring, motivating and human. Teaching and learning is about relationships, it is a relationship which flows both ways and learning should be reciprocal.

Our vocational staff are trades people first, teachers second, whose ambition and commitment, both individually and collectively, is to pass on their skills, knowledgeand expertise to whosoever wishes to learn. They are committed to all students reaching their full potential. They are supported by managers who have expertise in teaching and learning, teacher training and the construction and motor vehicle indusatries. The expertise of our staff means we are also able to offer additional vocational training in the motor vehicle area.
